The focus of this addition was the clients’ need for a home office space including shelving to display their extensive library. A bright sun room to lighten up the gray Oregon days and a guest suite rounded out the addition. The trim and bookshelves are all fir and the floor is Australian cypress. The shelving surrounds the office and continues down the hall to the main part of the house. The office is vaulted with a hemlock paneled ceiling with skylights, a wood stove, and French doors opening to “the secret garden.” The tiled sunroom is illuminated with 14 velux skylights and a large sliding glass door with an 8’ opening to the garden.
